Welcome to the December edition of the TJA. It’s hard to know where the year has gone — seemingly flown by in the blink of an eye.

As a general executive group, we have been busy working with our stakeholders and sponsors to develop resources and educational opportunities for you all and we hope that they’ve been of use and benefit. We are always looking to aid in our members’ development and welcome any feedback. I encourage you to please keep an eye on your emails, the website and social media to keep up to date with information and opportunities.

Speaking of social media, our social media officer, Claire West, has been keeping busy ensuring all our followers on Facebook and Instagram are well informed. Please remember to share these with your workmates and colleagues.

The 2018 Conference in Sydney was a resounding success and is a testament to all the work of the Conference Planning Committee. It was great to see so many people in attendance and the quality of the speakers was exceptional.

The closing of the year marks the end of my time as National President of the TNA and I thank you all for your enthusiasm and support. It really is the members and all you contribute who make the association what it is. Particular thanks must go to Julie and Chris for all the time and passion that they put into the running of the TNA as National Treasurer and Secretary and for all their support these past two years. Whilst it’s saddening to be stepping down, I know that the ongoing future and development of the TNA is safe in their and the incoming President Susan Virtue’s hands. Additionally, thanks must go to Myra (TJA Editor) and Libby (TJA Assistant Editor) for their work in putting together the TJA for all our members and for providing such an excellent resource for us all.

Thank you again, though I’m sure I’ll be seeing you all in Brisbane in 2019!
