The Journal of Children and Young People's Health is the official journal of the Australian College of Children and Young People's Nursing and the Maternal, Child and Family Health Nurses Australia Ltd.
ACCYPN is the only national nursing professional organisation that has children and young people as its core focus. Through direct membership ACCYPN forms an influential professional body acting on behalf of children, young people, families and the nurse who cares for them.
ACCYPN recognises children and young people's nursing as specialty nursing practice and advocates for the specialty irrespective of the setting in which children and young people are cared for.
MCaFHNA is the peak professional body for nurses working in the field of maternal, child and family health. It aims to promote and advocate for optimal health and wellbeing of young children and their families in their communities through the specialty of maternal, child and family health nursing.
We undertake a range of activities including:
- Representing and advocating to influence policy and practice in the area of maternal, child and family health nursing;
- Developing and promoting best practice standards;
- Promoting and facilitating education, professional development and networking opportunities for those working in the area of maternal, child and family health nursing;
- Collaborating with other groups and organisations;
- Initiating and supporting research activities.
