Introducing WCET® Complementary Tri-Specialty Logos
A Norma N Gill Day® Initiative
WCET® Official Registered Logo and tag line
It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to the new designs for our Complementary Tri-Specialty logos – Wound, Continence and Enterostomal (Stoma) Therapy. We are excited to share them with you as they signify our commitment to recognise WCET® expertise in these three fields and to Norma N Gill’s mission towards education and professional development.
The WCET® official registered logo and tagline, shown above, remain the primary logo of the organisation. The four complementary logos will be used to represent the specialty highlighted for a particular project or programme.
The W in WCET® stands for Wound, the C for Continence, and the ET for Enterostomal (Stoma).
1. The green logo will be used to reflect professional development and education and is the corporate logo colour.
2. The red logo represents Wound and will be used for all wound and skin initiatives.
3. The yellow logo represents Continence and will be used for all continence/urology related initiatives.
4. The pink logo represents Enterostomal (Stoma) Therapy and will be used for all stoma/gastrointestinal related initiatives.
In recent years WCET® has been challenged to represent and market the true nature of our tri-specialty expertise in Wound, Continence and Enterostomal (Stoma) Therapy. Over the years we have discussed and debated changing our association name and tagline but we are reluctant to give up on our rich history and deep global roots.
In 1978, when Norma N Gill and the other WCET® Founding Members named our organisation the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists®, Enterostomal Therapy was the common term used in the care of individuals with a stoma. As you are all aware, most countries around the world quickly added the care of individuals with wound and continence conditions to their practice. Thereafter many countries renamed their specialty, including associations and education programs, to represent wound, ostomy and continence.
We believe this Tri-Specialty Logo initiative will help promote WCET® membership, sponsorship and the promotion of WCET® as a Tri-Specialty organisation, facilitating and driving our true mission and vision.
We will be promoting this Norma N Gill Day® initiative via email and social media; please help us with our global mission by sharing widely with both members and non-members.

Nos complace presentarle los nuevos diseños de nuestros logotipos complementarios de tres especialidades: heridas, continencia y terapia enterostomal (estoma). Estamos encantados de compartirlos con ustedes, ya que significan nuestro compromiso de reconocer la experiencia de WCET® en estos tres campos y la misión de Norma N Gill hacia la educación y el desarrollo profesional.
El logotipo oficial registrado y el eslogan de WCET® mostrados arriba siguen siendo el logotipo principal de la organización. Los cuatro logotipos complementarios se utilizarán para representar la especialidad destacada para un proyecto o programa concreto.
La W de WCET® significa Herida, la C, Continencia, y la ET, Enteroestomal (Estoma).
1. El logotipo verde se utilizará para reflejar el desarrollo profesional y la educación y es el color del logotipo corporativo.
2. El logotipo rojo representa Herida y se utilizará para todas las iniciativas relacionadas con heridas y piel.
3. El logotipo amarillo representa Continencia y se utilizará para todas las iniciativas relacionadas con la continencia/urología.
4. El logotipo rosa representa Terapia enterostomal (estoma) y se utilizará para todas las iniciativas relacionadas con el estoma/gastrointestinal.
En los últimos años, WCET® se ha enfrentado al reto de representar y comercializar la verdadera naturaleza de nuestros conocimientos especializados en heridas, continencia y terapia enterostomal (estoma). A lo largo de los años hemos discutido y debatido la posibilidad de cambiar el nombre y el lema de nuestra asociación, pero nos resistimos a renunciar a nuestra rica historia y a nuestras profundas raíces globales.
En 1978, cuando Norma N Gill y los demás miembros fundadores del WCET® dieron a nuestra organización el nombre de Consejo Mundial de Terapeutas Enterostomales®, Terapia Enterostomal era el término común utilizado en el cuidado de personas con estoma. Como todos ustedes saben, la mayoría de los países del mundo han incorporado rápidamente a su práctica el cuidado de personas con heridas y problemas de continencia. A partir de entonces, muchos países cambiaron el nombre de su especialidad, incluidas las asociaciones y los programas educativos, para representar las heridas, la ostomía y la continencia.
Creemos que esta iniciativa del logotipo de tres especialidades ayudará a promover la afiliación a WCET®, el patrocinio y la promoción de WCET® como organización de tres especialidades, facilitando e impulsando nuestra verdadera misión y visión.
Promoveremos esta iniciativa del Día de Norma N Gill® por correo electrónico y en las redes sociales; ayúdenos con nuestra misión global compartiéndola ampliamente con miembros y no miembros.
